Vol. 13 — Legal / Privacy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Legacy Health Specialists collects when you visit our website or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain English. The full text follows below.

Reviewer notice: PLACEHOLDER CONTENT — This page contains a starting draft to be reviewed and revised by Legacy Health Specialists' compliance counsel before public launch. The content reflects common patterns for Medicare brokerage privacy/SMS/accessibility disclosures but has not been reviewed for legal accuracy or jurisdictional compliance.

Information we collect

When you fill out the contact form on our website, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, zip code, phone number, email address, and the message you send us. If you check the consent box, we also record the date, time, and IP address associated with your consent for compliance purposes.

When you visit our website, we and our analytics providers collect technical information automatically: pages viewed, time on page, referring URL, device type, browser version, and approximate location based on your IP address. This information is aggregated and used to understand site performance.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. Medicare insurance is for adults 65 and older (with limited exceptions for younger people with qualifying disabilities), and our marketing is directed accordingly.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide on the contact form to respond to your inquiry, schedule a call with a licensed agent, and provide you with information about Medicare insurance plans available in your area.

If you become a client, we use your contact information to provide ongoing service, including annual plan reviews, renewal notices, and answering questions throughout the year.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do share necessary information with the insurance carriers whose plans you enroll in (this is required to process your enrollment) and with our regulated business operations vendors (CRM, email service, telephony) under appropriate confidentiality agreements.

Sharing with carriers

When you enroll in a Medicare plan through us, we transmit your application information to the insurance carrier. The carrier then has its own privacy policy that governs how they use your information after that point. We're happy to provide a list of carriers we represent on request.

We are a Third-Party Marketing Organization (TPMO) authorized to market Medicare Advantage, Medicare Prescription Drug, and Medicare Supplement Insurance plans on behalf of contracted carriers. Calls to and from Legacy Health Specialists may be recorded for quality assurance and compliance purposes, in accordance with applicable state and federal law.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for basic site function, performance measurement, and (where permitted) advertising attribution. You can disable cookies through your browser settings; this may affect some site features.

We use industry-standard analytics services to understand how visitors use our site. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics data is shared with these providers under their respective privacy policies.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, opt out of future marketing contact, and (in certain jurisdictions) request a copy of your information in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us by phone or email using the information at the bottom of this page or in our website footer. We will respond within 30 days.

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected and the right to opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Data retention

We retain contact form submissions and related communications for as long as is reasonably necessary to provide service and meet our legal and regulatory obligations. Recorded calls are retained per CMS and state requirements applicable to Medicare TPMOs.

If you ask us to delete your information and we are not legally required to retain it, we will delete it within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by a notice on our homepage or by email if you are an existing client.
